SKINT RACING #55 - THE RETURN

WE CATCH UP WITH OUR SPONSEE, NICK COOPER

It was an amazing rookie season for Nick Cooper, who finished second overall aboard the Wemoto sponsored Aprilia RS250. And his second season was looking promising too. The first round was at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit.

When I spoke to Nick he said testing was going well. Consistent 56 sec laps until he was forced to brake fast at Graham Hill bend due to a slow rider in front. He ended up in the barriers, the result being a badly smashed bike and a broken collarbone.

This meant Nick would miss the entire season due to complications with his injury. But he will be back next season competing in the Bemsee Two Stroke Series alongside TZRs and other Yamaha Past Masters.

I spoke with Nick a few days ago and he is very excited about the upcoming season, he said:

‘Got my shoulder op at last on the 10th of November so should all be set for next season. The bike has been rebuilt with replacement fairing, tank and seat unit and will be raring to go.'

I did manage to get a sneak peek at his new brakes, though:

Only joking. We are all excited to see how the new season will go and will keep you updated with Nick's progress throughout the year. If any of you can make it to some of the rounds the support is always appreciated and it is a great day out.
