In August, the National Motorcycle Dealers Association issued a letter about age restrictions for motorcyclists. It claimed they were complicated and inconsistent with the simpler restrictions for car drivers.

We asked for your thoughts on the matter, and over 300 of you replied. The overwhelming response was that current restrictions make it less safe for new riders on our roads, but having some restrictions in place was still a good idea for the inexperienced rider, regardless of their age. And, of course, that car drivers should have similar restrictions to new motorcycle riders.

When AJS' new motorcycle, Cadwell, came on the scene during the summer, you guys couldn't wait to feast your eyes on it. Showing us that the spirit of the 50s still resides in many of you today and that the cafe racer will never get old.

Stuart Garner has revived Norton since becoming its CEO in 2008. Here, we tell the story of his commitment to the brand and to motorcycle engineering, which, today, means that Norton is turning out 1,000 bikes every year and doing well in the racing scene.

With news that France was making all riders wear them, we asked whether you thought glove wearing should be compulsory in the UK.

And what safety-conscious people you are! Almost all respondents said they'd never ride without them. Though an ever so slight majority thought it should still be the riders' choice.

When Wemoto got a load of new parts in for the classic Z 900, we thought we'd take the time to celebrate the history of this iconic machine. As one of our readers puts it, “now that's what I call eye candy”.

We can't miss a perfectly good opportunity to thank you all again for your help in raising £16,258 in 2016 for the MGP Supporters' Club.  Money that will help fund its life-saving helicopter ambulance on the Isle of Man and support riders and their families.

The campaign, supported by the legendary John McGuinness, has done exceedingly well since we started it in 2015. We'll be releasing a new t-shirt in the coming months to start our 2017 fundraising, so keep an eye out...

When our feature writer John Newman crashed at Mallory Park some years ago, he told himself there would be no more track days. But his instinct to race gradually crept in.

Here, he shares his story of what it's like to be in an accident, and how he overcame his hangups and managed to get 'back on track'. Honest and relatable, and one our most viewed articles of 2016, John's tale obviously resonated with many of you.

This nostalgic yet candid account of how couriering has changed over the years struck a chord with many of our readers. Lots of you got in touch to share your stories about the money, the hard work and yet fun times involved with being a courier. Brilliantly researched and expertly recorded by our guest poster Charlotte, if you've ever worked in the couriering industry you need to give this a read.

We all like a bike project, and this one was spectacular. Mollspring Motorcycles goes against the clock to get its bikes ready in time for Spa. In this four part series, we follow the company's Greeves/Triumph, or Grumph, motorcycle build.

On Christmas Eve, Triumph announced its profits had increased from £8.7 million to £16.6 million. Great news for the UK-based motorcycle manufacturer, and met with praise by our readers. After all, we all like a good success story.

Fed up with all the bad press, we sought to find out the reasons why motorcycling has such a negative reputation. Is it the 'danger' factor, or is it simply because we're a minority? Who fuels all this negative energy, and worst off, is it deserved? This study became one of our most shared articles of the year, and, hopefully, made some impact in rectifying all this negative press.

Jane hadn't ridden a bike in 30 years. Then her partner suggested they ride to Paris and back – on two Honda C90s.

This adventure is told by Jane over three brilliant, and at times hilarious, articles - because sometimes, there are far too many stories to tell in just one.
