WOMEN'S OFF-ROAD MOTOCROSS OUTFIT PASSENGERING AND RIDING DAY

A CHANCE FOR WOMEN MOTORCYCLISTS TO HEAD OVER TO SOUTH WALES ON NOVEMBER 18TH TO HONE THEIR BIKE RIDING SKILLS

This is a great opportunity for women and girls aged 14 up (although there is a height restriction which may apply for safety reasons) to have a go at passengering on grass track sidecars, trials, enduro and motocross outfits and do some enduro training. The riding is provided for women by the very experienced Craig Bounds, with TTR230s and CRF230s. This is the re-launch of a great event, after 30 years wait, and is due to take place on Saturday November 18th - it looks like being a brilliant fun day.

To participate, women simply need to be able to ride a geared motorcycle, enjoy new experiences and testing their mettle! For women coming from other parts of the country, there is some limited accommodation available at Berthlwyd Farm. This consists of two self catering cottages which sleep 5, at a cost of £150 per night, and a glamping pod with a double bed and two singles for £90 per night.

Marianne, the organiser says she is happy to cook for everyone at cost price of the ingredients - can't say fairer than that - you might feel the need for a slap up feed after a day out there riding and monkeying around on the Welsh hills!

The prices for the event are: £40 for all day passengering (or as much as you want), the riding session is £90 for two hours which includes the bike and suitable clothing. Motocross clothing with protective body armour is suitable for all the riding on offer and is available to hire free of charge.

This looks like a really great opportunity to upskill and gain riding confidence, while having an exciting day in beautiful South Wales and possibly staying to make a weekend of it exploring the area.
