Hundreds of people have lost money and suffered financial harm and trauma from investing in Norton pension schemes with Garner as trustee. According to the BBC, Garner invested all their money in his business when he shouldn’t have used more than 5% of pension scheme money. Despite financial support and endorsement from the government, Norton went into administration in January 2020, owing people who had invested in the pension scheme around £10m.

For this, Garner has received a custodial sentence of 8 months, suspended for two years. He will not serve the sentence unless he commits a further offence within that two years.

Norton is now reborn, run by India's TVS motors
